Community Clothing Center

DESCRIPTION: Catholic Charities of Wayne County receives and distributes clothing and items of necessity free of charge at the Community Clothing Center located at 12019 East Main Street in Wolcott. The center is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Beginning on Wednesday, July 13th, 2011, the clothing center will also be open on Wednesday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

DONATIONS: Donations of clothing can be delivered ONLY DURING OPERATING HOURS (Wednesday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday evenings, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.) to the clothing center at 12019 East Main in Wolcott, at the bin at Barbara Jean’s Furniture at 4500 Route 414 in North Rose and at the bin at St. Patrick Church, 52 Main Street in Macedon. We request that donated clothing be clean and reasonably current in style. Clothing for children and men is always needed.  We also accept soft, foldable items such as bedding, sheets, towels and curtains.  We cannot accept dishes, furniture, knick-knacks and appliances.

CRITICAL NEEDS: At this time, the Clothing Center urgently requests donations of blankets, sheets, towels and men's jeans.

STAFF: The on-site coordinator of the Community Clothing Center is Jill Lee, one of our experienced and dedicated volunteers.

VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers play a key and active role at the Center. New volunteers are always welcome.  If you are interested in volunteering at the Clothing Center, please call Jill Lee at 315-905-4092.

FUNDING:  We are much in need of sponsors and donors to help sustain the work of the Center. Support has been provided by faith communities in the Wolcott area. While clothing and other necessities are distributed free of charge, we request and receive donations from the clients at the Center.
