PILGRIM PROJECT: SALE OF CD

Now you can hear some great music and support Catholic Charities all at the same time! Catholic Charities of Wayne County is offering for sale a CD of wonderful, spiritual music. The proceeds from the sale of the CD, entitled The Pilgrim, will benefit our food and clothing programs and La Casa, a residence for migrant farmworkers.

The Pilgrim, by Nancy Bryan, is a mixture of familiar hymns and original songs performed by Nancy and arranged by John Bryan. Nancy and John are an integral part of the choir at St. John the Evangelist Church in Clyde, New York. Nancy is a Grammy-nominated vocalist/songwriter who has written and recorded songs for Walt Disney Records. She also recorded two albums which were distributed internationally by Sire/Warner Brothers Records. John is a studio guitarist and pianist who accompanies Nancy and arranged the songs for The Pilgrim.

This CD is dedicated in part to Sister M. Dominica Petocchi, RSM, who taught in the Diocese of Rochester for 57 years. Her photo is on the CD cover. People frequently brought Sr. Dominica their prayer intentions, because she was widely known for having a “direct line” upstairs. She died in 2008 after a long life of service to others.

Three years ago, the Bryans produced a CD which was marketed to raise funds for the Payatas community in the Philippines, a community living in extreme poverty who utilized the proceeds from the Bryans’ recording to obtain clean drinking water.

To obtain a copy of The Pilgrim, please come by our office or mail your order to us at the address below. If you are willing to help sell the CD in your community, please let us know. For each copy of the CD, we suggest a donation of at least $10. Orders for the CD and donations for supporting The Pilgrim Project can be directed to:
